Protection of marine mammals – “High Quality Whale Watching” label

The AMPN has signed, with the executive secretaries of ACCOBAMS and the Pelagos Agreement, an agreement relating to the implementation of the "High Quality Whale Watching" label intended for operators offering whale watching trips.
The operators to whom we will award this label will undertake to respect the code of good conduct for cetacean observation, to participate in scientific research and to make passengers aware of the protection of marine mammals.
In addition to promoting the label, we will make sure to encourage Monegasque boaters to respect the code of good conduct for approaching cetaceans and to equip themselves with the REPCET system, software dedicated to navigation and aimed at limiting the risk of collision between cetaceans and ships.
