Citizen science : Photographs of artificial reefs
Marine Protected Areas
As part of the management of the Marine Protected Areas (MPA) of Monaco, citizen science dives have allowed for the photographing of the majority of artificial reefs in the Larvotto MPA, as well as the coralligenous habitat in the Spélugues MPA.
These 10 dives were made possible thanks to the assistance of volunteer diver-photographers: Stéphanne Jamme (Aquanaute expertise), Samuel Jeglot (NaturDive), Damien Eloire (NaturDive), and Ioana Stoicescu (Euphotica and NaturDive).

These operations enable us to quickly assess the state of artificial reefs and their populations, as well as visually monitor the evolution of the coralligenous habitat.
We've had some pleasant surprises, as evidenced by the photographs!
